Plascore’s facilities include a dedicated manufacturing facility with an environmentally controlled machining and processing center to fabricate engineered honeycomb core details.
Core Processing
Plascore offers processing to customer specifications and has facility approvals for Core Processing from NADCAP, AS9100 and many Aerospace OEMs. Our team of engineers and sales professionals work hard to provide unique solutions to complex designs while our Customer Service team offers excellent responsiveness and fast quotations.
Core Machining
All types of honeycomb materials offered can be machined into engineered honeycomb core details using our precision 5-Axis routers.
Programming in CATIA V5 is offered and Plascore can take your CAD models in various forms and convert them into finished parts with a high level of quality.
Core forming
Plascore has advanced thermoforming and roll forming capabilities that can offer precision fit to complex curvature parts. While forming honeycomb core can be an art, we employ a series of refined tactics that include modifying process parameters, forming method and tooling design to quickly and effectively develop a process that yields consistent results.
Core Splicing, Potting and Stabilization
Plascore’s state-of-the-art ISO Class 8 cleanroom, combined with our skilled team, ensures expert splicing, potting, and stabilization of engineered core components—delivering precision and reliability for your most demanding applications.
Tooling & Engineering
Plascore provides in-house tooling design to reduce costs and accelerate lead times for processing of engineered core details. Our technical team provides efficient, custom solutions that streamline the delivery of complex core details. These tools are used for work holding during CNC machining, thermoforming, splicing, stabilization and inspection of the honeycomb core.
